Welcome to our World Festivals and Events summary page!  Here we will accumulate by date order some of the biggest, best, and most popular US events and World events as we run into them.

No matter what Country around the World, or City that you live in, there are usually some type of special events that your area is known for. Many of these types of events are held on an annual basis.

1. This page will be a work in progress with festivals and events added as we run into them. We will update the dates for the annual events each year, and add them to our Holiday Calendar, or I may set up a separate calendar for event type celebrations.  
2. For some of the major events, we will be doing a devoted page for the event.
3. Also, on our Holidays Around the World section, we will be having a devoted page(s) for each Country, and we will be highlighting some of the famous events in each Country. We will try to include at least one of the most popular events from each Country here.

January 2024 Festivals and Events

• Harbin Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival - Usually starts annually on January 5, and typically runs for a month or more, in Harbin, China and is the largest ice and snow festival in the world! 2024 dates are December 20, 2024 - Early March, 2024. 
• Mummer's Parade - January 1 Held each year on New Years Day in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, It is believed to be the oldest folk festival in the United States.
• Rose Parade or Tournament of Roses Parade is held every year on January 1 in Pasadena, California.  If Jan. 1st is a Sunday, then it will be held on January 2. It is a festival of flower covered floats, marching bands, equestrian riders followed by the Rose Bowl college football game. 
• Pennsylvania Farm Show - January 6-13, 2024 (Harrisburg, PA)
• National Western Stock Show and Rodeo - (Denver, CO) - January 6 - 21, 2024
• Golden Globe Awards (Beverly Hills) - January 7, 2024
• Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show - January 12 - February 3, 2024 (Fort Worth, TX)
• The American Express Tournament (Formerly: CareerBuilder Challenge and Prior to that Bob Hope Classic) - January 15-21, 2024 in La Quinta, CA
• Sundance Film Festival - January 18-28, 2024 - An American Film festival held each year in Park City, Utah.
  
• International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo - January 19-28, 2024 (Monaco)
• Saint Paul Winter Carnival - January 25 - February 4, 2024 (St. Paul, MN)
• Rolex 24 at Daytona - January 27-28, 2024 (Daytona, FL)
• Carnival of Venice - January 27 - February 13, 2024 - An annual festival held in Venice, Italy where people wear masks and costumes

February 2024 Festivals and Events

• Yukon Quest - Starting in Whitehorse on February 3, 2024, there will be 3 races - 100 mile, 250 miles and a 450 mile. Awards on February 9, 2024
• Chinese New Year Festival and Parade - (San Francisco) - February 3 - March 3, 2024, Parade on February 24, 2024
• 2024 Pro Bowl - February 4, 2024
• Super Bowl Sunday - February 4, 2024 (Held at various venues throughout the United States each year.)
• Grammy Awards - February 5, 2024
• Carnival (Rio de Janeiro in Brazil) - February 9-17, 2024 - Carnival is the biggest festival in the world with two million people a day on the streets. Floats, Parades, Balls, Music and Dancing are all part of the Event
• Losar - February 10-12, 2024 - The Tibetan New Year, a three day festival that mixes sacred and secular practices that include prayers, ceremonies, hanging prayer flags, as well as sacred and folk dancing and partying. The first day is the most important. (Buddhist)
• Mardi Gras Carnival (New Orleans) - February 13, 2024
• World AG Expo - February 13-15, 2024 (Held in Tulare, CA)
  
• Simplot Games - February 15-17, 2024 - Held at Idaho State University's Holt Arena, it is one of the Nation's premier high school indoor track and field events.

• Grand National - April 11-13, 2024 - The world's most renown horse race held at the Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, England
• The Masters Tournament - April 11-14, 2024  - The Masters Tournament is one of the four major championships in professional golf.  The event will be held at the Augusta National Golf Course in Augusta, GA

• Pirates Fest - Cayman Islands National Festival - November 1-24, 2024 (Little Cayman - November 1-3, 2024; Grand Cayman - November 8-17, 2024; Cayman Brac - November 22-24, 2024) This is the Cayman Islands, National Festival and features different events such as street dances, costumes, float parade, heritage days, underwater treasure hunt, games, controlled mayhem with a mock invasion, lots of music and events for kids and teens.
