Elvis Presley served in the United States Army from March 24, 1958, to March 5, 1960. He was stationed primarily out of Friedberg, West Germany when my Dad was stationed in Augsburg, Germany. I was born in Augsburg Germany during that time. My Dad has said that he was very friendly with the troops and often volunteered to take anyone else's watch duty if they were unable to.
